Location

The Grosvenor Hotel is only minutes away from Southend’s award-winning blue flag beaches, Cliff Gardens, the Cliffs Pavilion theatre, which is on the touring circuit for major shows, the Golden Mile and the UK’s longest pleasure pier.

Southend is also a great place to shop, with a paved High Street and the under cover Royals shopping centre – and was voted the UK’s best place to retire by readers of Yours! magazine.

Westcliff station is only a short walk away from the hotel, and is less that one hour on a c2c train from Fenchurch Street station. The trainline also serves Upminster and Barking stations.

Southend Victoria station, on the One railway line from Liverpool Street, is only a short taxi ride away. Hotel staff can always collect you free of charge from either station in the disabled-friendly mini bus.

Alternatively, free transport to and from the homes of six or more guests living within a 40-mile radius of the hotel, on request.

"You will like to be beside our seaside, as the flat, disabled friendly promenade and sandy beach are just across the road. We will even provide free transport for you to get here – either from outside your door or from a convenient central location."
