Recently upgraded to exceed standards set for care homes, the hotel can accommodate 45 people in single, double, twin or triple rooms, all of which are en suite and some have walk-in showers.

Guests stay on a full-board basis, with all home-cooked meals served in the hotel's dining room – or outside in the hotel's garden, complete with aviary, weather permitting.

If you want to bring your loved ones on holiday here with us, you will certainly be very welcome. But if you need respite care, you can have a great time in the knowledge that they will be lovingly looked after 24 hours a day in a safe, secure environment and enjoy their own holiday in our comfortable seaside hotel.

In addition to holidays, we offer respite days for individuals, groups or organisations who want to enjoy a day out at the seaside with people who care and understand their situation.

The Grosvenor Hotel is only minutes away from Southend's award-winning blue flag beaches, Cliff Gardens, the Cliffs Pavilion theatre, which is on the touring circuit for major shows, the Golden Mile and the UK's longest pleasure pier. Southend is also a great place to shop, with a paved High Street and the under cover Royals shopping centre – and was voted the UK's best place to retire by readers of Yours! magazine.
